The staff at Southeastern Transformer Co. have been organized and trained to provide you the best possible quality products available.  Our engineers and technicians have over 120 years of combined plant and field experience in repairing and maintaining electrical transformers, reclosers, and switchgear.  Southeastern Transformer Company is a member of an elite group of Cooper Power Systems Authorized Service Centers for Cooper Power Systems products.  Our technicians are factory trained and qualified to work on Cooper Power Systems’ and other’s equipment and products.  Our goal is complete customer satisfaction with all of our services.

Quality assurance procedures are followed throughout our repair and maintenance processes with all products tested to the latest ANSI standard test codes, assuring you of many years of uninterrupted service.  Each piece of equipment is given a thorough cleaning to remove surface contamination before applying a coating system which includes a primer, intermediate and finish coats of high performance paint.  All equipment is shipped with new or reprocessed transformer mineral oil.

State of the Art Testing

Each piece of equipment we repair or rebuild goes through a series of tests to ensure its operation is flawless.  Our testing procedures feature the following:

• AVO Biddle transformer loss measurement system with computer printout of test losses.
• Phenix 75KV Hi-potential testing Model# 6TD75-20.
• 400 HZ 30 KVA motor - generator set for double induced voltage testing.
• Hipotronics oil dielectric test set.
• Multi-Amp Corp. OCR 8015 recloser test set.
• HD Electric HiSat Surge Arrester Tester
• B/K Precision  830A Capacitance meter
• Dexsil L2000 PCB analyzer.

State of the Art Painting

In March of 2006, Southeastern Transformer Company added 35,000 square feet of office and state of the art painting facilities.  Two new painting rooms were installed to paint single-phase and three-phase padmount transformers and pole-type transformers, reclosers, and regulators.  The paint booths and the finishing areas incorporate state of the art painting and drying systems and temperature controls.  Our painting system features:

• Keeler & Long high performance paint
• Power tool cleaning or sandblasting (if  required)

Our personnel take great pride in preparing all equipment for delivery by Company trucks or common carrier. 

• Nameplates and labels are applied to individual customer specifications or original manufacturer locations
• Extra effort and work is made to make sure shipments arrive safely and undamaged.
  • Special shipping pallets can be built for larger equipment shipping common carrier
  • Unit palletizing of equipment is available at the request of the customer.

Cost Effective Service

We realize that your time and money are valuable to you, and we make every effort here to save you both.  Equipment repairs are generally 50% less than the cost of new equipment.  Rebuilt equipment is approximately 30% below the cost of buying new equipment.  Our turnaround times are typically 4 weeks or less, and all services performed are warranted at least one full year from the delivery date.
